Getting There

So now you're on your way, due to Sinai's good road network, it is pretty easy getting to Dahab whether you're in Egypt or abroad.

 

From the Mainland

There are several ways to get to Dahab & Sinai from Egypt's mainland. The fastest, yet most expensive, is by air. Egypt Air has daily flights to Sharm El Sheikh from Cairo International airport at not-so-affordable tourist prices. If you have a Egyptian residence visa, you'll be able to get off by paying "local" price. Once in Sharm, you can arrange transportation either with your hotel, or grab a taxi from the airport.

Travelling by land offers more options. Buses from East Delta Company leave Abasseya Bus Station several times a day. The journey to Dahab (via Sharm) takes around 9 hours and will cost between 60-80 LE. For a quicker trip, you can try to gather a group of friends and hire a taxi to take you to your destination.

You can also contact any travel agency in Cairo or your hotel in Dahab and arrange a more comfortable trip in a mini-van or -bus directly to your destination.

Last, but not least, if you're in Hurghada, it's quick and easy to go by sea, via the ferry to Sharm El Sheikh. The journey takes only 1.5 hours and around 150 LE. Once there, either take a taxi with others going towards the same destination, or arrange a pick-up with your hotel.

Camels are not recommended, as the ride can be quite bumpy, arduous and long!

From Israel

Cross the border at Eilat and either catch a taxi or ask for a pick-up from your hotel.

From Jordan

Take the ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba. Once there, you can either catch a taxi, bus or ask for a pick-up from your hotel.
